About Avtar India Tours

We had a very good time in India. I can say, Avtar ji is a pro at organising tours. The hotels were all 4 stars except for the one in Ayodhya (which was no less than a four star hotel standard) and we also got an opportunity to stay in one of the former palaces (Shahpura House in Jaipur). The guides in each city were very professional and knowledgeable. The transport was on time on each day and the driver, Mr Deepak was very friendly, we had an amazing ride with him throughout the journey. Our trip was beyond our expectations; riding on camel, camel cart, elephant, boat rides at four cities, visiting places of worship, monuments and sightseeing the wonderful places of our dream country , India. We had a good time shopping for souvenirs and gifts at the places we visited. We really appreciate the effort of Mr Avtar ji in organising our one month trip. Avtar India Tours is highly appreciated and recommended for visiting India.

We had a fabulous 8 days with Mr. Singh, in Dehli, Agra, Ranthambore and Jaipur. He's really kind, fun, professional and takes every stress of planning away. He booked flights, hotels, guides, safari tours and everything else we didn't even think about. We were 2 people, his Toyota SUV was very spacious and comfortable. He drives steady and safely. His entrepreneurial story is also inspiring.

We planned for a 12 day trip to char dham with Mr Avtar Singh. He helped us to finalise itinerary to suit our needs. His hotel & room selection was fantastic throughout the journey. Avtar is a great guide and goes out of his way to make your trip more than comfortabel. We did the Golden Triangle and he arranged everything perfectly. We had nice guides, good hotels and the car is great! Depending on the package but we had free WiFi, always water, fridge, snacks and good company! Would definitely recommend!

We had planned for 12days trip to CHARDHAM. It was a great experience travelling with him. He keeps the trip live with his sense of humour. All arrangements have been completely taken care by him. Stay n food was comfortable.The vehicle was well maintained n very neat and clean. Every single aspect of the tour has been meticulously crafted by him. So it was a pleasure traveling with him.

I booked an 18 day tour of Rajasthan with my partner through Avtar India Tours and had a great time. We planned our route and Avtar arranged our travels, hotels, sightseeing and tour guides. He planed our itinerary exactly how we wanted, based on what we wanted to do. It really was a tailored trip. Avtar is a lovely man who runs his company and social media pages entirely by himself. It is very likely he will be your driver during your trip, but on the rare occasion he cannot he arranges a close, trusted family member to take his place. He is a very safe driver and all of his estimations of journey times were correct. The car that we chose was very comfortable. Avtar cleaned it every evening and kept it stocked with drinks and sweets. Avtar is very reliable, he is very easy to contact via WhatsApp. (I’d highly recommend getting a SIM). He was always where he said he will be and is quick to reply. He went out of his way to take me to a pharmacy when I was unwell and even sorted our washing for us outside of the hotel so it would be cheaper. There’s a few other aspects I want to touch on in my review that I think are important. Payments It’s really normal in India to pay via bank transfer. We weren’t comfortable with this, so opted to pay via PayPal. PayPal charge for this service, so you will need to cover the lost income. We were fine with this. We paid half prior and then the other half in Cash (USD or INR) upon arrival. Hotels We chose 4-5 star hotels, but you can decide this when planning your trip. All of our hotels were nice, clean and safe. They were outside of the city centres so were very quiet. Guides The guides are booked by Avtar in each city, but are not part of his company. If you have a problem with a guide and you let Avtar know he will ensure that it does not happen again. We had an issue with one guide taking us to a tourist trap shopping mall. We explained to Avtar that we didn’t want to do this and he made sure we didn’t for the rest of the trip. I would also recommend going to markets without the guide as they tend to be on commission and make the prices higher. This is not related to Avtar and his company. We would recommend Avtar! We did a 7-day Indian Himalaya tour with Avtar Singh and additional driver Surjeet. They drove us safely through the crazy traffic, even on the most narrow mountain roads in Himachal Pradesh. I would highly recommend Avtar India Tours as your guided tour agency, due to the great driving skills and local knowledge. When we couldn't reach our planned destination due to landslides, Avtar promptly arranged a new stay and he was very accommodating to any requests from our side. He will make sure that you have a good and unforgettable time.
